for I have promises to keep

"Open your heart and let spring in. Or leave town."

Well I am going to shower and sleep in a few minutes. All I can say right now is school has been really busy... this weekend is a 4-day weekend featuring Moon Festival (& therefore gorging on moon cakes) so I'll have time to blog properly. I've just been going to school & studying Chinese a bit.

I joined another choir, that being my school's choir. They are a big choir, and in the warmup it was loud--loud like almost hurt your ears loud. Ah, the sweetness of a true big choir. Anyway, class has been fun, mostly. There have been some problems among the exchange students; however, they may be resolved soon. As to keeping promises/taking care of business, I bought postcards today for the people who were interested. Also, Alleah I believe wanted to see Scott & Claire. Well they're both here:

some Rotary Exchange Students

[From left to right, starting at the top: Fabio, Anna, Claire, Kyle, Kaylee, Yu-Gyeong, Célia, Yoshiteru, Me, Scott, Kenta, Laura, Noemie, Wil, Michael, Raphael, Alex, Lisa, Etienne, Claire]

BTW the quote is from a journal I was considering buying. I went with another one, because I only want it for jotting down stuff people tell me in Chinese (otherwise I forget like right away). Keep posting, and I shall endeavour to have something more, exciting to say come the weekend. In the meantime, post a comment or whatever.

Cool Picture. It looks really nice there. The caption thing to your picture is kind of confusing (not all that straight of lines and all). Peace

I like how I know where you got your title from; makes me feel smart. what exactly is a "moon cake"?

Finally! I was beginning to think you had gone the way of Laura, neglecting your poor readers! I protest on their behalf. Anyways, exactly which ones are the ones you hang out with all the time? I'm not quite sure...

Well I don't particularly "hang out" with anyone a lot of the time; however, Scott & I often study together. There's actually not all that much time or permission for hanging out, per se.

There are different kinds of moon cakes, but I've only had one. They're a little bigger than golf balls... the outside is a dryish kind of bread... it's a little greasy but I think egg-based and sometimes it flakes. Inside that is a layer of sweetish red bean stuff. Then in the middle is a cooked egg yolk. Also on top are a few seeds, maybe sesame or poppy or something; they're black (the seeds).

sounds weird. although Asian food doesn't always seem appetizing. after all, people pay good money to put raw fish guts in their mouth.

Speaking of guts, I saw cow stomach for sale at the supermarket yesterday. My mother said it was delicious; however, we didn't buy any. We *did* get a realy big watermelon which I can only lift with two hands. but that's beside the point
